About the product

About coffee:

Colombia is one of the most famous coffee-producing countries in the world, and its reputation for high-quality Arabica beans extends even to its decaffeinated offerings. Decaffeinated Colombian coffee delivers the rich, well-rounded flavor Colombia is known for—without the caffeine.

Origin and Quality
Grown in the high-altitude regions of the Colombian Andes, these beans benefit from ideal growing conditions: fertile volcanic soil, consistent rainfall, and a warm climate with plenty of shade. These conditions produce coffee beans with bright acidity, medium body, and a complex flavor profile, making Colombian coffee one of the most recognizable in the specialty coffee world.

Decaffeination Process
Most decaffeinated Colombian coffee is processed using the Sugarcane (Ethyl Acetate) method, which is especially popular in Colombia. This method uses naturally derived ethyl acetate—often from sugarcane—to gently remove caffeine from the green beans. It’s a natural and chemical-light process that maintains the beans’ original flavor integrity while reducing caffeine by over 97%.

Other methods such as the Swiss Water® Process may also be used for Colombian decaf, depending on the roaster or supplier, ensuring a clean and chemical-free cup.
